

The ECHL in association with Chase Chevrolet Stockton announced that Phoenix RoadRunners season ticket holder Diane Husband is the winner of theChase Chevrolet “Win A Trip To The ECHL All-Star Game” contest.
The annual Phoenix Roadrunners Booster Club’s “Meet the Players Picnic” took place Sunday, November 4th at O’Neil Park in Glendale.
In a departure from tradition, Boosters did not compete against players this year. Instead, team captains Richard Hopkins and Roger Pongratz were appointed and teams chosen “Phys Ed Class” style.
The 5’9” 21 year old Isle-aux-Morts, NFLD native is in his rookie professional season.
The diminutive center’s junior career began in the 2001-2002 season with the Mississauga Chargers of the OPJH. Moving on to the St. Michaels Buzzers for 2002-2003, Skinner was a teammate of Roadrunners center Jeff Kyrzakos for two years. Skinner later played in the NCAA program at Michigan State University as a freshman, leaving shortly into his sophomore year to return to Junior “A” with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League.
The Phoenix Roadrunners Booster Club has lost an original member, as Eleanore Coombes passed away on November 11th, 2007.
The longtime hockey fan was born in the Toronto area in 1920. A widow, Eleanore leaves no survivors.
A small memorial service was held at Glencroft Retirement Community.
The 24 year old Calgary, ALTA native joins the Roadrunners after a successful colligate career at the University of Alaska - Anchorage.
