PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today that they have informed the ECHL Board of Governors that they will cease operations at the conclusion of the 2008-09 playing season.

As a fitting send off to the team's last roadtrip, the Phoenix Roadrunners Booster Club's Annual Awards Banquet was held on Sunday, March 29th.

Arizona sports fans.

The Booster Club and 2008-2009 Phoenix Roadrunners squad met up on Sunday, October 26th to kick off the new season! This year’s potluck picnic was held at the beautiful Horizon Park in North Scottsdale. Treasurer Tom Husband and Roadrunners Captain Mitch Carefoot chose up sides in softball with Team Tom talking the win!

The Phoenix Roadrunners Booster Club's Annual Awards Banquet took place on Monday March 24th, 2008 at Bill Johnson’s Big Apple in Phoenix. More than 80 fans, players, and staff enjoyed a great dinner, door prizes, silent auction, and the awards presentation.
